From WordPress developer to e-commerce engineering partner
Adnan Shawkat started building on WordPress in 2012. Over the next decade he led development teams for brands in the US, Singapore and Sweden, and was vetted by Toptal as a WordPress engineer.
Most of that work ended up being e-commerce: subscription stores, custom WooCommerce plugins, migrations, and Shopify stores that needed a real development team behind them. BetaTech exists to do exactly that work, and nothing else.
Today BetaTech works directly with store owners and as the white-label engineering team behind e-commerce agencies. We also build our own software, from Signal to open-source WordPress tools, because shipping our own products keeps our standards honest.
